The Dorothy Jane Siver Band

Tom Benson, Ron Siver, Dorothy Jane Siver, Jennifer Siver, Deane Lewis

Dorothy Jane began playing piano at age 4, violin at age 9 and guitar, mandolin & upright bass soon followed. Currently a young teenager at 15, Dorothy Jane is becoming recognized as a serious entertainer with much promise. Dorothy Jane's musical roots expanded in 2007 when she began playing Bluegrass. Her mom and dad picked up instruments and began playing along with her, soon forming The Siver Family band. Dorothy Jane has played on many a stage in her short life and has started a solo career, fronting her own band The Dorothy Jane Siver Band. Currently she is branching into other genres of music (Folk & Americana). She also loves Classic Rock from the 1970's (Journey & Fleetwood Mac), she has become a huge Monkeys fan doing "Pleasant Valley Sunday" and has added a song or two from these classic sounds into her acoustic repertoire. Her debut CD "My Journey Begins" was released on June 4th, 2011, with Ampersand Records USA under the ownership and guidance of Bob Harris. Look for 2012 to be filled with numerous "singles" with hopes of them hitting the charts. Speaking of charts, Dorothy Jane Siver's debut CD single "All The Angels Sang" promoted by HMG Nashville, came in at number 69 in January 2012. Look for new music in 2012 that will combine the lyrics of Louisa Branscomb of Nashville (Steel Rails fame) and Jennifer Siver's "Alice" (Dorothy Jane's mother). Dorothy Jane Siver polishes the lyrics from these two talented writers into her own musical arrangements. If you feel you know of a venue or you are a promoter or organizer of a venue and would like to have Dorothy Jane Siver on your schedule feel free to contact her father (Ron). This young lady will put some drive into your schedule....contact him today. Thanks to all the people who have supported her in the past and she looks forward to meeting new friends in the future.

A quote from County Sales Record Store

"Ms. Siver is a 14-year old fiddler and singer from New York state, and her first foray into the world of recordings is a successful one. She is already an accomplished fiddler, and her voice is pleasant enough—it will likely improve in depth as she grows older. The 10 songs & tunes she has selected create a good showcase for her talent: these include two full force instrumentals in WHEEL HOSS and BILL CHEATHEM, two Gillian Welch songs (RED CLAY HALO and ONE MORE DOLLAR, and songs by Allen Mills (LOVE OF THE MOUNTAINS) and Louisa Branscomb’s ever popular STEEL RAILS. A well done and enjoyable record (Bluegrass backing)."
