Dorothy Jane auditions and makes Liberty Christian Academy and Thomas Road Baptist Praise & Worship Bands.

Dorothy Jane Siver began playing classical piano at age 4, classical violin at age 9 and guitar, mandolin & upright bass soon followed. Currently a young teenager at 16, Dorothy Jane is becoming recognized as a serious entertainer with much promise. Dorothy Jane's musical roots expanded in 2007 when she began playing Bluegrass. Her mom and dad picked up instruments and began playing along with her, soon forming The Siver Family band. Dorothy Jane has played on many a stage in her short life and has started a solo career, fronting her own band The Dorothy Jane Siver Band. Her debut CD "My Journey Begins" was released on June 4th, 2011, with Ampersand Records USA under the ownership and guidance of Bob Harris. Dorothy Jane Siver's debut CD single "All The Angels Sang" promoted by HMG Nashville, came in at number 69 in January 2012 on the Top 100 Christian Country Chart.

 

Dorothy Jane Siver is currently living in Lynchburg, VA. and is a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She is involved with Living Proof Youth Group every sunday morning and wednesday nights. Since moving to Virginia, Dorothy Jane's musical roots have widened. She is currently learning new Contemporary Worship Music, but playing it with acoustic instruments, much like she has always done in the past with her Bluegrass, but playing a different style of music. Dorothy Jane loves serving the Lord with her music and the Contemporary Worship style is rapidly becoming her love.

 

 

Dorothy Jane Siver is also a First Violinist with the Lynchburg Symphony Youth Orchestra under the direction of Bruce Habitzruther/Conductor of both the Youth Symphony and the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra. She is also being privately taught by Ellen Habitzruther the Concertmaster for Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra.
